meet ms. daves

Ms. Daves began her education journey at Virginia Tech where she earned her first degree in Agriculture. She then went on to become a middle and high school agriculture teacher, as well as FFA advisor. Several years in, as her family began to grow, she decided to quit teaching public school and start homeschooling her young children on her small farm in rural Virginia. Her home-ed/homestead dreams were cut short with the tragic passing of her husband. The farm was sold and the life of her and her 5 children pivoted as she went to nursing school to become an RN and sent the children to a local private christian school to earn their education. While the story has changed, the dream lives on through the lesson plans she shares on this blog. We hope you find yourselves at home here.
